M Terry Wolfe has been in the Flooring Industry for over 35 years. Educated at East Barnet Grammar School and The Northern Polytechnic (now the London Metropolitan University) he worked both in contracting and in the importation and distribution of flooring materials.
For the last thirteen years, as a consultant, he has handled numerous cases ranging from problems of defective installation, movement in timber flooring, slipping and other accidents on floor surfaces, pile defects in carpets etc etc.
Subsequently gained the degree of Bachelor of Arts with the Open University and has qualified to become a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Academy of Experts and the Expert Witness Institute. He is a member of the Contract Flooring Association and was elected to the council of the CFA in 2001.
Represents the CFA on the Training Committee of the NSCC (National Specialist Contractors Council) and the board of the National Construction College.
In 2003 was elected a member of the prestigious Institute of Wood Science, He is S&M (formerly Law Society) Directory checked and approved to act as a single joint expert under the 1999 Civil Procedure Rules. He is approved by the CITB and City and Guilds as an assessor for candidates training for a flooring installation NVQ.
Terry Wolfe is the author of a Training Resource Manual for training floor fitters published by the Construction Industry Training Board in 2005 and writes a regular monthly column in Contract Flooring Journal.
